Who We Are

If you plan on fishing in Marathon, look no further than Hennessy Sportfishing. Your guide for the day is Captain Kerry, allowing you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.

Depending on the conditions, you might hook into Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Black Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Bull Shark, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and plenty more. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Kerry also offers kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.

Your boat for the day is a 28’ Mako center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now, time to hit the water with Hennessy Sportfishing!
